What is Therapy?

Regardless of whether you’re in a difficult situation or not, therapy can help you navigate life by providing the skills and support you need. We have a client-centred therapeutic approach to best respond to your needs.

How does it work?

We use evidence-based therapies including Mindfulness-based therapy such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Schema Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.  We will work with you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.  

Who can it help?

We can assist with a wide range of issues, including, but not limited to:

  • Low mood
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions and adjustment (including grief and loss, separation, and health diagnosis)
  • Relationships issues
  • Perinatal issues
  • Health behaviour change
  • Chronic pain (including vulvodynia)

Referral process and rebates

Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a referral from your GP.  If you are eligible, your GP will create a Mental Health Care Plan for you. Rebates can also be accessed under Private Health Insurance, TAC, WorkSafe, or Commcare.
